"What is to give light must endure burning."

~ Viktor Frankl from Man's Search for Meaning

How beautiful is that?

Give light.

Endure the burning.

Reminds me of Rumi's poem:

"Brother stand the pain
Escape the poison of your impulses.
The sky will bow to your beauty, if you do.
Learn to light the candle. Rise with the sun.
Turn away from the cave of your sleeping.
That way a thorn expands to a rose.
A particular glows with the universal."

“Thank you for creating your site. I am in high school and have been recently introduced into philosophy by a great teacher. Since then, I have been searching for more info on philosophy and quotes that describe who I am and what I want to be. Your site is without a doubt the best of these. Thank you again.”
