(As we’ve discussed in another Big Idea,) Steven Covey’s 7th Habit (from “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”) is called “Sharpening the Saw.”
We could also call that “Renewal.”
Covey offers four dimensions of our nature that we need to consistently renew:
“Physical: Exercise, Nutrition, Stress Management
Mental: Reading, Visualization, Planning, Writing
Social/Emotional: Service, Empathy, Synergy, Intrinsic Security
Spiritual: Value Clarification & Commitment, Study, Meditation”
How are you doing in each of those?
Are you spending enough time sharpening your saw in each?
What area needs more of your attention right now?

Testimonials
“The amount of work you've devoted to this is amazing. Love the quotes. Something worth reading everyday. Sometimes reading about how someone thought about something can open up your mind to new ideas or make you see things differently. It's great to have access to quick references of extremely bright minds and their thoughts. Like Thomas A. Edison said, to have a great idea, have lots of them. This is a great idea. Thank you.”
