"Work expands to fill the time available."

~ Parkinson’s Law

You’re going on a 2-week vacation tomorrow.

You have 4 hours of work that needs to get done.

You only have an hour.

Somehow, you’re able to squeeze it all in and do it even better than you would have done with the full 4 hours.

wtf?!?

Enter: Parkinson’s Law.

The Law states, quite simply, that “work expands to fill the time available.”

If you give yourself a week rather than a day to do something, guess how long it will take?

Right.

So….

Might you be able to set some tighter deadlines and see if you can collapse some otherwise wasted time?

Try it.

Watch the amount of energy and time you gain explode.

Fun.
