Alright. You’re getting excited about an idea—whether it’s a trip you’re planning, a business you want to build, a party you want to host or how you’re going to show up in the world.
Can I suggest a really powerful way to begin your creative process?!? (Pretty please with stevia on top?! Thanks. :)
I think I learned this from Michael Gelb, the creativity guru (read his “How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci”…brilliant book!):
We’re all used to a “devil’s advocate”—that energy that looks for things that can go wrong with an idea/plan. It’s a very important tool.
But NOT at the beginning of the creative process.
At the beginning, we need to politely excuse sir Devil from the table and invite the lovely Angel.
The idea?
Pretend you have an angel at your side or a magic wand in your hand and that, with their support, EVERYTHING will go PERFECTLY!
What would that look like?!? If everything went ABSOLUTELY perfectly—beyond your wildest dreams!
Write that down. Capture all of it. Don’t be bashful. Let it flow.
Dream. Put it down on paper.
…
So my hunch is you have a big idea in your mind.
Why not invite an Angel over for tea and do a little mind-storming? :)
See what you can come up with an angel’s advocate on your side.
Dream big. And thinkArete!

“I just want to express my appreciation for the fine work you're doing. This morning's quote on 'maximizing energy to reach your potential' gave me the wake-up that I needed. I find all of your messages timely and inspiring. Thanks again.”
