I’ve done this exercise a few times and I know it played a big role in helping create the context for an ideal relationship (which I continue to create :).

Write a description of your absolute ideal partner. Whether you’re in relationship or looking for one, take the time to describe your ideal partner in detail.

OK. Now once you’ve written that description of your ideal partner, step back and soak that in.

Then, pause for a moment and consider this: Who do you need to be to attract that person into your life and build a wonderful relationship with them?

Write it down. In detail.

And be that person.
