#39 Seen Your Horizon Lately?

Discuss this Big Idea in the Forums!

Just got back from my 8th rolfing session in my first series of 10. Ahhhhh..

Reminded of the lesson I learned in session #2 when my awesome rolfer, Bruce, taught me the fastest way to find my right posture.

His idea?

Find your horizon.

Stand up straight. Look down. Look up. Now look straight ahead. That’s your horizon. (There’re fancier ways to find it but that gets us there.)

Notice that when you look down, even slightly, your posture goes with it. And same with looking up.

Even as you read this, notice where you’re looking. Odds are you’re looking below your horizon. And your entire body is affected by it. Try looking at your horizon and feel your body lighten and raise up.

Cool, eh?

The purpose of life for man is growth, just as the purpose of life for trees and plants is growth. Trees and plants grow automatically and along fixed lines; man can grow as he will. Trees and plants can only develop certain possibilities and characteristics; man can develop any power which is or has been shown by any person anywhere. Nothing that is possible in spirit is impossible in flesh and blood. Nothing that man can think is impossible. Nothing that man can imagine is impossible of realization.
